Meet your artist

I’m Luna! I am a Black Puerto Rican queer femme specializing in whimsical blackwork tattoo artistry. My top priority is giving clients a comfortable, safe, and clean experience. I love nurturing  an environment my clients can feel good in while creating forever artwork straight out of their dreams!

I have a daughter, a black lab, and a tuxedo cat. We live with my husband in Philadelphia, PA and I work in Lansdowne, PA, just 20 minutes outside the city (on a good traffic day, which is never so more like 30-40 minutes). I’ve been trained in the visual arts most of my life and throughout schooling. My favorite tool is graphite pencil, second to tattooing of course!

I have been tattooing since 2016. I left college to pursue a formal apprenticeship, and have since self taught and peer taught the rest of my career. Before opening my private studio in 2023, I worked in shops in North Carolina where I lived before moving to Philly, and have guest spotted in various cities up and down the east coast. I hope to make it west one day, perhaps even abroad

I love tattooing because it makes me feel like a real community member. I get to connect with folks in my area and beyond, and help them towards becoming the version of themselves they truly wish to be. Tattooing is more than just the craft, and I am continuously grateful to get to do this work. It’s a dream come true!

I am proud to say that my studio was opened in Lansdowne in 2022 after petitioning the zoning board and legalizing tattooing in Upper Darby County. With the help and testimonies of our community both in Philly proper and Lansdowne, we were able to change the law to bring tattooing to a town that didn’t have it. I am the first Black woman to tattoo legally in Upper Darby County

The studio is located inside the Lansdowne Artist Collective, previously known as the Utility Works Makerspace. We are connected to Camellia’s Coffee Shop, which is super convenient if you want to pop in for a coffee and pastry during their working hours. I work alongside my studio mate Angel, and together we maintain a space of health, safety, creativity, and a passion for tattooing and those that allow us the access to do so
